United Bank & Trust Introduces New Corporate Brand

ANN ARBOR, MI – Signaling a new era in its banking history, United Bank & Trust and parent company, United Bancorp, Inc. unveiled the company‟s new brand campaign, which includes an updated logo and related branding treatment that will, over the course of the next several weeks, adorn all United Bank & Trust offices, ATMs and business offices in Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe and Washtenaw counties.

“For more than 100 years, United Bank & Trust and its predecessor institutions have embodied the strength, stability and a commitment to its clients.”

In addition, the company has started the process of incorporating the new logo mark on client forms, bank statements, checks, debit cards, product brochures and other materials.

“Remaining true to our core values, we have redefined the meaning of our brand. Changing our logo was an important first step toward achieving our strategic goals and our desire to have a higher degree of brand recognition in all of the markets we serve,” said United Bank & Trust President & CEO, Robert K. Chapman. “Today marks a significant milestone in our bank‟s history, and I am confident that our clients and co-workers will embrace this exciting change.”

According to Chapman, this rebranding effort – more accurately reflects the growth and transformation of the company in recent years. “We have been growing into new cities as well as expanding our footprint in SBA lending, commercial lending specializing in professional services and mortgage lending. Going forward, our recognizable logo and related rebranding will better position us for additional future growth,” said Chapman.

Brand Attributes
The stylized “U” in the red square hints at the bank‟s focus on “You, the client,” states Jamie W. Guise, Chief Marketing Officer, United Bank & Trust. The tagline, „Solutions Together,‟ reinforces the bank‟s commitment to deliver the right solutions to clients and the community; the slogan is also meant to inspire and engage the community at large to get involved in creating solutions together for a better place to live, work and enjoy. “For more than 100 years, United Bank & Trust has embodied the strength, stability and a commitment to its clients,” said Guise. “For this reason, we selected a contemporary, elegant symbol that is evocative of growth and strongly supports the 'Solutions Together' tagline.

Launching the Campaign
United Bank & Trust will reinforce its new brand positioning through an integrated marketing campaign, – which includes a mix of cable television, radio, print, online and outdoor advertising.
